1. What we collect
When you submit a track, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- The track link you provide, and (for Spotify links) publicly available track metadata such as track name, artist, and album art
- The mood, genre, and any optional message or "about this track" note you submit
- Basic payment confirmation details from PayPal (we do not see or store your full card or PayPal account details — that's handled entirely by PayPal)
2. No accounts
Playlistd does not currently have a login or account system. We don't build an ongoing profile of you — each submission is treated as its own record, tied to the email you provide at that time.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above to process your submission, route it to a curator for review, send you confirmation and status emails, issue credits when applicable, and prevent abuse of the submission system. We do not sell your information.
4. Third-party services we use
- Spotify — to look up public track details from the link you provide
- PayPal — to process your payment; PayPal has its own privacy policy governing your payment data
- Google Sheets / Google Cloud — where your submission record is stored
- Resend — to send you confirmation and status emails
Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy practices in addition to ours.
5. Children's privacy
Playlistd is not directed at children under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, you should only use this service with a parent or guardian's permission.
6. Your rights
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing contact@playlistd.online. Note that active, unresolved submissions or credits may need to be resolved first.
7. Cookies
We use a single functional session cookie to keep track of your progress while submitting a track (e.g. which mood/genre you picked). We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee complete security. Please don't send sensitive information (like payment card numbers) directly to us via email or message fields.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
